HOW OUR MEMBERSHIP WORKS

Let us know a little about yourself and what you're looking for.

* A member contacts you

One of our members will contact you by email or phone to discuss your interest in Rotary. You'll be invited to get to know the club better by attending a club meeting, a social event, or even to join in on a service project as a volunteer.

* Join us for a drink and a meal

We meet on Monday evenings at 6.15pm at the Milford Crusing club. Our memebers usually arrive at 6pm to socialise over a drink, before the main part of the meeting begins. Dinner is usually served at 7pm.

* Attend up to 3 meetings

You are welcome to join us for up to three meetings, events or volunteer, so you can see if joining Rotary is right for you.

* You're a member!

Frequently Asked Questions

 

What can I expect at a meeting?

The Rotary Takapuna North weekly meetings involve social time leading up to 6.15pm. After that the President of the club will conduct the formal aspect of the meeting, where they will provide the club members with club updates. Following this, each Director will also give an update to the members on the current project they are working on. Dinner is then served. Then the final aspect of the meeting will be listening to an interesting guest speaker. We have speakers talking on a broad range of topics, from The America’s Cup, to learning how to do CPR.

 
 

How much time do I have to give?

There is no minimum amount of time that you have to give. It is optional on how often you attend meetings and volunteer your time on projects. You can get involved in the areas that are of interest and you can bring project ideas that you would like to champion.

 
 

Is there a cost?

There is an annual membership fee which is $6/week or $350/year. Then each meeting you attend the cost of dinner is $22.50. Most of the social and fundraising events will have a price per ticket, however these are voluntary.

 
 

What is the structure of the club?

The club has a President, with a director team of 10 people who are in charge of the following areas: Membership, Secretary, Projects, Marketing & Communication, Community, Youth, International, Fellowship, Fundraising and Foundation. The rest of the members will be assigned to help in one of these areas, depending on the members expertise or interests.
